The Waterford Greenway is a spectacular 46 km off-road cycling and walking trail along an old railway line from the quays of Ireland’s oldest city all the way to Dungarvan.
Enjoy a beautiful journey through time and nature across three tall viaducts and a long atmospheric tunnel, all the way from the river to the sea.
Along this route in Ireland’s Ancient East is a Viking settlement, Norman Castles, medieval ruins, an old workhouse, deserted railway stations and a heritage railway train that still runs along part of the track.
Waterford Council has produced a number of Maps to help visitors get the most from the Waterford Greenway.
Use these maps to get information about access points, car parks and toilets along the Waterford Greenway. You’ll even get a weather forecast!
